Nanning (Chinese: 南宁; pinyin: Nánníng) is the capital of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in South-Western China. It is known as the "Green City" because of its abundance of lush tropical foliage (Wikipedia).
On Nanning's Nanhu lake
Southeast of Nanning city, the 126.6-hectare Nanhu Park (South Lake Park) is a peaceful retreat to take a stroll in. Three-fourths of the total park area is taken up by lakes, which are surrounded by palm trees.

Qingxiu park
The Qingxiu mountain range is the 'green lung' of Nanning City. Located 5 kilometers (about 3.1 miles) southeast of the suburbs of the city and bordering the Yongjiang River, the mountain range is renowned for its beauty and the clear waters which run through it. It is no wonder they are counted as one of the Eight Wonderful Sceneries of ancient Nanning. The undulating chains of mountains, verdant trees, liquid springs, and historic sites together make this mountain a good place to meet the charm of antique taste and tranquillity (Travelchinaguide: online).
